London Alternative Market

Newsletter - 9th April 2006

Dear subscribers,

Big thanks to all those that came to the second event - we took onboard your feedback from our first month, introducing a new stall layout incorporating the galleries to great effect, as well as making sure the heating was working. The cloakroom (on the second floor) is now up, running and staffed, with all proceeds being funnelled directly into the chosen cause. We have a further set of changes in the works for subsequent events, again based on your feedback. We have changed the agenda for the day slightly; at 2pm there will be a brief introduction and prize draw (for the LAM competition prizes), with the demo directly afterward; the main speaker and cause-supporting raffle draw will now be at 4pm to give you plenty of time to buy tickets.

We will be announcing details of the much-requested LAM after-party - tickets will be available from the community desk at next month's event. We have found an amazingly atmospheric venue and have called upon the expertise of Mike (Sweet Torments) to ensure the smooth-running of the party and supply of world-class equipment. Hopefully this will help re-capture some of the old after-market atmosphere that was always so welcoming and present at The Lamb on North Road.

The final total raised for the London Fetish Scene was £601.45. Massive thanks to our stall-holders for graciously donating a lovely suedette cloak (Strictly Senuous), various shopping vouchers (Richard Larsen, Spanking Tools and Equipment) and to Subversion for the pair of club tickets! We also gave away some of MC's cash to a lucky winner to use at the market.

Esinem's demo went very well, and is definitely best viewed from the gallery tiers. We would recommend that you head up there early, next month to get a good vantage point to see Kat and the Leather Family performing something amazing involving ribbons and swords.

We are also delighted to announce the first ever LAM workshop, which will occur at 12pm, 7th May, when Chopper (of Spanking Tools and Equipment) will be holding a master-class on the fine art of caning - the workshop is included in the price of your entrance ticket to the LAM. If this proves to be a popular feature, we will arrange more for subsequent months.

We look forward to seeing you at next month's event (7th May 2006), where the supported cause will be Feminists Against Censorship. They will be announcing the raffle prizes in due course.

Regards,

The London Alternative Market Team
