Well, that's it for 2006! Everyone who came along last Sunday seemed to have a great time and it was a fantastic start for the countdown to Christmas!
The workshop on keeping toys clean & hygienic with Master Cosmic was very informative and useful for all who attended; if you didn't manage to get up early enough to attend but would like the fact-sheet pop along to the community desk next month where it will be available.
For the demo, we invited back Alex Jacob who kicked off the first LAM in March. Unfortunately, due to his original demo bunny being ill, plans had to be changed slightly – but everyone enjoyed the sight of Broken Angel and Jenis helping him demonstrate what he can do with a bull-whip. If you want to know more then please visit his website.
Since the launch in March 2006 we have raised over £5000 for community causes. This month the money was put into the LAM Fund, which now has over £500 in the pot. This money is available to anyone who needs it to support a BDSM Cause or community project. All you have to do is apply (via fund@londonalternativemarket.com) and we will let you know if we can help and to what extent.
This month Backlash were back selling 2007 calendars to raise money as well as using the LAM to meet people and let them know what they are doing. The LAM always has space to support BDSM causes and one of the ways we try and do this is by giving them an opportunity and forum to address people and raise awareness of current projects. Once again, if you are involved with or what to recommend a BDSM cause then email us and we will see how we can help.
Details are still being worked out with regards to the stage demo next month but we are all looking forward to the workshop which will be Strictlynormal exploring sensory play. More details will be posted in the pre-event newsletter.
That's all from us until January; have a very merry Christmas and hope to see you all in the New Year on January the 7th!
Regards,
