Newsletter - September 2007

Dear subscribers,

Well it's almost LAM time again and we have a great day in store. As the summer holidays draw to a close (not that we had enough sun to really call it summer) we prepare for the back to school with a themed LAM.

We are again joined by a few new stalls and have some great added attractions:

  • Esinem will be selling all things ropey and some fantastic single tail whips
  • Spiderlilly – a new range of innovative and stunning jewellery
  • Talk dirty to Rob King who is doing an academic research project on what female orgasms are for and invites you to help him with his research in the royal boxes.
  • Space permitting Cosmic1 has agreed to loan a Vac bed for the day for who enjoyed the Vac cube from last month

Returning from the summer festival season we have Xtreme footwear, Freak Clubwear and Bell Époque corsets.

The official schedule for the day is:

  • 11am — Doors open.
  • 12:30pm — LAM workshop will be Physics, the fun of high voltage a more detailed look at violet wands with a new advanced level handout.
  • 2pm — There will be an introduction to the various adult schools around the UK in the form for a short introduction and public speaking competition by the staff and pupils.
  • 4pm — An update by Backlash on the proposed legislation on extreme pornography and what you can do to help followed by a fund raising auction and punishment of nancy aka UKtrucker (details below).
  • 6pm — LAM closes; 'til next month, of course! But the fun continues at the after market party.

UKTrucker, purveyor of fine crepes at the LAM, has nobly volunteered his backside for a sponsored spanking/caning/whatever to help a young girl with severe disabilities by taking one spank/cane/whatever for every one of his birthdays (that is 55 folks). The aim is to raise money to buy a special buggy so she can be taken out by her Mum Louise. More details can be found on the Informedconsent web-boards – see links below. Contributions have already been made by Master_Chopper and Morphia who kindly donated canes, tawses and needle kits to raise funds and, so far, over £300 has been collected; see the thread on IC. More has been pledged including the auction lot of a nights bed and breakfast stay in a health club hotel, details available at the community desk. The basic buggy costs around £500 and any monies over that will be used to buy the attachments needed and to go into a trust fund to help the girl's future.

Anita_Esrader has donated a McLaren Special Needs Buggy to be auctioned at the LAM this month and this auction will be held just before the highlight event of UKTruckers botty-spank/cane/whatever. See the IC Boards again for how you can take part; if you cannot get there but want a chance to bid, there will be the opportunity to do so even if you are not on IC - http://www.informedconsent.co.uk/boards/ukevents/158155/0.

There have also been calls for UKTrucker to make a return appearance as Nancy, that cute creature who first made her appearance at the Summer Lovetrix event, but of course you'll have to come along to see if she can be persuaded to come out – http://www.informedconsent.co.uk/boards/ukevents/155951/0.

It is a great cause that UKTrucker is working towards, can we ask everyone to support this and to put a great big smile on a little girl's face.

The LAM after market party continues at a new venue; tickets are £5 and can be purchased from the Parker Birchrod stall near the ground floor bar. Those who ventured along last month where very pleasantly surprised by the venue and both the space and range of furniture on display. The secluded courtyard was popular with the smokers.

Don't forget the LAM love police will also be out and about all month; if you spot someone you want an introduction to, tell anyone wearing a love police arm band and they will be happy to help. If you are interested in joining the Love Police please let us know, we are always keen to recruit.

We're looking forward to welcoming you back on the 7th October for the next LAM which should be a wild one with so much backed into one weekend.

Regards,
